Cundiff Steel fabricates and erects structural steel but the backbone of the business is the woman who started it.

Started by Pat Cundiff, Cundiff Steel is not only a very successful minority business, it’s one of the largest women-owned businesses in Louisville, Kentucky.

Pat Cundiff saw an opportunity to start a woman-owned structural steel company that delivered a higher quality product in 1994. Please understand that back then, women owned business weren’t exactly welcomed with open arms in the construction business or by the building trades. Pat didn’t care and she forged ahead.

Pat’s husband and two sons were all union iron workers. She was familiar with how the union operated and her family played a major role in starting the company. Pat worked two jobs while the framework that would become Cundiff Steel gradually came together. Today, Cundiff Steel is one of the largest and most successful fabricators of structural steel in the state of Kentucky. Our project portfolio includes both commercial and industrial projects.

Cundiff Steel takes steel raw forms of and metal and, like an artist, transforms it into some of the signature buildings in Louisville and the surrounding states. Here’s a short list of the types of projects we have experience in:
